Back from the dead?

The best thing about the theatre I'm presently sitting in the middle of tech running a sound board for is that there's an ethernet connection in the booth. So here I am, after months of radio silence. A lot has happened. A lot hasn't. Most of what has really isn't significant.

But here I find myself, having been in the theatre for a few hours already, and still having played all of one cue. But hey...that's tech for you.

I really don't have a lot to say. Do I ever? I babble a lot, but do I ever really say anything? I could go on about all the trivial little things that have happened in the months I haven't posted, but really, why? I'm sure if I actually start updating on a regular basis again, there'll be plenty of that.

In terms of not-so trivial, my grandpa is dying. Slowly. Brain tumor. Don't know how long he has, but my guess wouldn't be more than a few months. He's been getting visibly worse week to week. He turns 94 on Sunday.

My cousin, Rebecca, who's a month or two older than me, set a date for her wedding. It'll be at the beginning of September.

I think I've been depressed for quite a while now, and that's not really changing.

I feel out of place wherever I go. I feel stuck.

I feel a lot. I feel nothing.

I just got the new Coldplay CD the other day. I love it. I'm going to share with you the lyrics to the hidden track, Kingdom Come. It's a gorgeous song.

Kingdom Come
-Coldplay

Steel my heart and hold my tongue
I feel my time, my time has come
Let me in, unlock the door
I never felt this way before

And the wheels just keep on turning
The drummer begins to drum
I don’t know which way I’m going
I don’t know which way I’ve come

Hold my head inside your hands
I need someone who understands
I need someone, someone who hears
For you I’ve waited all these years

For you I’d wait til kingdom come
Until my day, my day is done
And say you’ll come and set me free
Just say you’ll wait, you’ll wait for me

In your tears and in your blood
In your fire and in your flood
I hear you laugh, I heard you sing
I wouldn’t change a single thing

And the wheels just keep on turning
The drummer begins to drum
I don’t know which way I’m going
I don’t know what I’ve become

For you I’d wait til kingdom come
Until my days, my days are done
Say you’ll come and set me free
Just say you’ll wait, you’ll wait for me
Just say you’ll wait, you’ll wait for me
Just say you’ll wait, you’ll wait for me
